Pokémon Elements Competitive League (PECL) Tournament Rules

1. Tournament Format
- The tournament consists of 8 players.
- The competition follows a knockout format, with winners advancing to the next round.

2. Match Progression & Order

Matches must follow this order:
1. Quarterfinals – 8 players compete → 4 winners advance to Semifinals.

2. Semifinals – 4 semifinalists compete →
- 2 winners advance to the Finals.
- 2 losers move to the Battle for Third Place.

3. Battle for Third Place – The 2 semifinal losers compete for third place.

4. Finals – The final 2 players battle to determine the Champion.

3. Time Limit & Auto-Advancement
- Each round has a 2-hour time limit.
- If a match is not completed within this time:
- The system will determine the winner based on player activity (most recently active player advances).

4. Participation Requirements
- Players must have at least 5 Pokémon of any star level to enter.

5. Match Rules
- All battles follow standard Pokémon Elements Arena battle mechanics.
- Type effectiveness influences damage calculations.
- Each battle is turn-based, requiring strategic decisions.

6. Sportsmanship
- Players must **respect opponents** and follow fair play rules.
- Any form of cheating or exploit abuse will result in disqualification.
